One of the goals of the Young Adult Service Corps is to connect people from my home to the people I will meet abroad, and I need your help with this! There are lots of ways you can be involved with my mission. Here are a few you can consider:
1. Follow my blog, and tell your friends and family to do the same! The more people know about what I'm doing, the more people can be involved in it!
2. Make a financial contribution. It costs the Episcopal Church over $25,000 to send a YASC missionary abroad for a year. I was responsible for raising at least $10,000 of this cost. Thanks to my very generous supporters, I have exceeded that goal! If you would like to make a financial contribution to me, you can still do so, the money will still go to the YASC program. Please also consider donating to another YASCer who has not yet met their fundraising goal. If you would like to know how to do that, just leave me a comment and I will get back to you! To donate to me, send a check with "Keri YASC" in the memo line to:
St. John's Episcopal Church
2319 East Broad Street
Richmond, VA 23223
3. Pray for me and my ministry. I am going to need lots of emotional and spiritual support as I embark on this journey. Not only am I going somewhere I have never been before and trying to live in a foreign culture, but I am leaving my husband (for a year) to do it! Having the support of people at home is going to make a world of difference.
4. Check out what other YASC missionaries are up to! See the blog roll at the right side of my page, or go to episcopalchurch.org/yasc to find out more about the YASC program.
